cafes or restaurants with dog-friendly outdoor seating?

Hi there - going to Cannon Beach this-coming weekend for the first time, and again mid-September, with my dog. Was wondering if anybody knows of any cafes or restaurants with outdoor seating where you can sit outside with your dog and eat? I was in Seaside a few weeks ago and it was pretty much impossible to sit outside and eat with your dog--nobody had open access outdoor seating (only tables that you had to go through the restaurant to get to). I%26#39;m hoping Cannon Beach isn%26#39;t like this as well!?

Does anybody have any suggestions? thanks!!

Gower St. Bistro at the Cannon Beach Hotel has an outdoor patio area where they allow pets. They have very good food here, enjoy your time in Cannon Beach! :)

Lazy Susan has outdoor seating. Osburn%26#39;s Grocery and Deli has outdoor seating. Otherwise consider food to go and eat on the beach, or park etc.

Just remembered Lumberyard also has outdoor seating. They are open late, have Organic Chicken, Angus Beef and lots of fresh veggies from the area. They often have music and have a full bar. They are online if you want to check their menu.

All three have the seating in FRONT of their restaurant.

Cannon Beach is very dog friendly. I agree with Rivergallery about the Lazy Susan. We have gone there with our dog several times and it is nice because the tables are not cramped together, so there is room for the dog to lay down near you.

Another thought if you like pizza is Pizza a Feta in downtown Cannon Beach, there is a nice outdoor patio there, you can order your pizza from the side window if you don%26#39;t want to sit in the restaurant, they also have very good salads here. :)

Lilaq, next time you%26#39;re in Seaside, check out the Riverside BBQ, I have a review of our time here posted on this site, it is very casual with several picnic tables set up outside adjacent to the restaurant, gorgeous views of the Necanicum here and it is pet friendly. We enjoyed a couple of meals here a few days ago, the Pulled Pork sandwich is great, they also have BBQ chicken, ribs, etc.

Looks like you have several places to choose from when dining on the coast with you pet! Enjoy! :)

How big is your dog? That is something to think about with all these recommendations. Some places have outside seating, but tables are so close together and if your dog is large, it is tough. For instance, we have a Golden Retreiver and we do not take her to the pizza place syrah mentioned. The area is too congested, IMO, for it. But for a small dog it would be fine. And some places are more dog friendly than others, offering a bowl of water for the pup. But overall, CB is really good about dogs. You will see many, many people strolling downtown with theirs, and of course along the beach.

Lumberyard and Lazy Susan would be fine with larger dogs. Osburns would be tight, but it is right on the main street so could tether him on the sidewalk below you if needed. Not sure about the other one in Cannon Beach.

RG--We also don%26#39;t take our dog to Gower St. Bistro. The seating there is very close together. Thanks for sharing about the other places:)

As far as we were concerned, all out-door cafes in Oregon were good for dogs. We were never turned away from any cafe or restaurant that had tables outdoors.

In Cannon Beach,

Gower St does have a tiny outdoor seating area but if your dog is not tiny, it might not be comfortable...You have a dog syrahgirl??

There are pizza places, there is a nice place with seafood...I am blank on names but I think you will find more places allow dogs than those who say no ..

What we found was that if an area for tables is surrounded by any kind of fence or barrier, they might be the ones who will say no to dogs..Good luck!

If you go to Gower St, tell them hello from Scarlett and Pup :)
