Thank you

We have mostly finalized our itinerary as follows:

Aug 13 3 nights Portland the Lion and Rose -- wanted Portland%26#39;s White House but their dates are reserved for weddings and they won%26#39;t release rooms until May

Aug 16 2 nights Arch Cape Shaw%26#39;s Oceanfront b%26amp;b

Aug 18 3 nights Yachats Overleaf

Aug 21 2 nights Gold Leaf Pacific Cove

Aug 23 1 night Jacksonville -- reservation open

Aug 24 Crater Lake Lodge -- Lake View

Aug 25 3 nights Bend Cabin Creek B%26amp;B

Aug 28 Portland Clarion airport? reservation to be made

Thanks so much for all your assistance in coming up with the itinerary. We did get flights on Continental for 247 each -- really good price from Atlanta. We also got a car rental in the city for $380 for the whole time -- first night we will take a taxi to the b%26amp;b then pick up the car in the morning.

Really appreciated all your feedback. Thank you

Thank you

Sounds good. A very nice State Park just south of Cannon Beach is Arcadia. Park, walk stairs short way to beach, fun when the tide is turning among, and waves rushing through, the very large rocks.

Thank you

It%26#39;s been interesting watching your plans evolve, kapmap. Even though I%26#39;ve lived in Oregon almost my whole life, I learned a few things from you. So, I%26#39;ll be curious to read how Shaw%26#39;s works out. Be sure to walk the beach from there to Hug Point, where the old road is cut into the rock. Hard to imagine people actually used it. Can only do the walk around low tide, though.

Sounds perfect, isn%26#39;t a great feeling to have your plans all finalized? Planning is half the fun of traveling, yourS sound very nice, enjoy your trip! :)

Please post a trip report once you return and let us all know how it turned out!!

%26gt;%26gt;...Hug Point, where the old road is cut into the rock.%26lt;%26lt;

We have a print of a 19-ought something car going up the cut.

DH drove a VW over it in the early 1960%26#39;s!
