Good eats close to Red Line stop?

Hi, We are coming into PDX in the late evening on a Friday and taking MAX out to Aloha. We would like to be able to jump off light rail somewhere downtown and grab a quick dinner and get going again.

What is close to a MAX stop where we can get good food in a nice local atmosphere? We pack light so we don%26#39;t mind walking a couple blocks.

The Pearl is out on this trip, I don%26#39;t have time to wait for the stretcar up and back.

Mothers looks like it might be an option. Is Mothers a good choice? Are there others?

Hollywood stop: Laurelwood Pizza and Brew Pub (great local organic beer)

Pioneer Square: Higgins, South Park, Pazzo, McCormick and Schmicks, Jake%26#39;s, Heathman - lots of places.

If you get off at the Galleria MAX stop, you are about only 4 blocks from the Pearl if you wish to go there.

I think Mothers is a Great choice! and next door is her other restaurant Mama Mia which is good also.. depends on which kind of food appeals to you but I think they are both good.

If you like Thai, Typhoon on Broadway at the Lucia hotel is great, Red Star Tavern at the Monaco .. you can get fabulous burgers or regular meals , we used to love it there :)
