Help looking for plush Oregon Wine Country B&B max $250

Hi,

I%26#39;m looking to spend 2-3 nights in a plush Oregon Wine Country b%26amp;b, maximum budget of $250 per night.

I%26#39;m looking for a b%26amp;b that includes a complimentary wine hour in the afternoons, for $250 per night I think it should do!!

Also ideally one that is within walking distance of a few wineries so that we don%26#39;t have to have a designated driver as it%26#39;s just the two of us!

So far I%26#39;ve seen and like (to give you an idea of kind of thing I%26#39;m looking for)

Black Walnut Inn - gorgeous, would stay here in a heartbeat, but over budget I%26#39;m afraid!

Dundee Manor - just at the top end of the budget, but doesn%26#39;t seem to have complimentray wine in the afternoons unless anyone can tell me different

Youngberg Hill - favourite by a mile so far, only problem is the room we would love is only available for 1 night, so we could only do a one night stay

Would love any other suggestions to look at

Many Thanks

Hi europe-chick, I%26#39;m about as far from a ';plush B%26amp;B'; person as you can get, but some time ago I found this website for another poster. Scroll down as it gives brief info and a sketch of all of them:

You will need a car to get to the wineries (or hire a tour company to drive you). Wineries here are not (for the most part) next to each other. :-)

Unless you stay in downtown Carlton, where you can easily walk to Solena Cellars, Scott Paul, Ken Wright, Cana%26#39;s Feast, Winemaker%26#39;s Studio, plus at least a half-dozen other tasting rooms. Don%26#39;t know of any B%26amp;Bs there though that I would characterize as ';plush';. If you find something of interest on the list that half-Brit linked (nice list BTW), post back, and we can tell you if there are any decent wineries nearby.

When are you coming?

Booked Youngberg Hill for 2 nights, I rang the Inn and they could actually move things around and do 2 nights for us.

We are staying June 14th and 15th at Youngberg Hill, June 13th on the coast somewhere (not booked yet!) and spending June 10th-12th in Portland.

Moving on after Youngberg Hill down the coast to California.

Hey Mistletoe, in case someone wanted to stay in Carlton, which B%26amp;B%26#39;s are within walking distance of the wineries in Carlton? Honestly, I do not know, so I%26#39;d love to know which ones may be there.

We were in Carlton the other day (not for wine tasting, though) and I%26#39;m pretty sure the Carlton House is quite near to the tasting rooms downtown.

%26lt;%26lt;*sigh* As you said, B%26amp;B%26#39;s were the focus, so Carlton doesn%26#39;t fit the original question. ;-) Sounding a bit like one of our non-residents. LOL!%26gt;%26gt;

Huh?? But, to answer your question.... Carlton Inn and R.R. Thompson House B%26amp;B are both within walking distance of the in-town wineries. And Ken Wright has a 3-4 room B%26amp;B in one of the buildings he owns in town. Friends have stayed, and thought it was okay. Sounds like you should head out there some time! But, you digress... europe-chick already found a place. Sigh...
