Need honest advice. I have a chance to book two nights at the Ramada Inn in Portland for the employee rate (about half price). I have read mixed reviews on the hotel and the area. Don%26#39;t know if this is a good deal or not. Anyone have any personal dealings or know anything about the neighborhood?

Which one?? I%26#39;ve stayed twice at the one near PDX. It%26#39;s fine. The older part is just standard rooms, but the newer part is a little nicer. It%26#39;s a solid 2-star facility with NICE meeting facilites. Only drawback I can think of is there is no continental breakfast. There is, however a restuarant in the bulding.

We do like staying where there is free breakfast but can overlook that for the price. Do you happen to know if it is near public transportation so we can get to PGE park without driving downtown?
Moderately close to transit...use www.trimet.org Trip Planner. Enter %26#39;6221 NE 82nd Avenue%26#39; and %26#39;PGE Park%26#39; for schedules and routes. Looks like you%26#39;d have to walk about a 1/4 mile to catch a bus that would then take you to MAX (82nd St.). From that MAX stop, it%26#39;s about 1/2 hour to PGE...
