Taxi from Airport to Legacy Emanuel Children's Hospital?

I have an appointment at Children%26#39;s hospital on Friday afternoon. I%26#39;ll be flying into Portland, scheduled to arrive around noon. How easy would it be to get to the hospital from the airport by public transportation? How much is a cab likely to cost?

Half-brit--You have probably driven past it a lot. It can be seen from I-84.

Anyway, I don%26#39;t have much help at all for you, except to say that it isn%26#39;t that far from the airport so a taxi wouldn%26#39;t be too much. MAX does go past there, but I don%26#39;t know where the stops are along there. I am sure the MAX website would be able to help with this. Wish I could help more.

Not that easy if you%26#39;re on a tight schedule. Basically, you%26#39;d need to take the MAX lightrail (30 min+) then deboard and find one of 3 bus lines that serves the Emanuel campus. See this link: http://www.legacyhealth.org/body.cfm?id=663 for more info.

Best to take a cab from the airport. Fares to downtown run $30-35 and Emanuel is just north of downtown (maybe shave $5 of that estimate...

Public transportation would involve taking MAX (light-rail) from PDX to the Rose Quarter, and transfering to bus 44. Costs less than $5 and would probably take 45-60 minutes. Cab fare would be $30-$35 plus tip.

I think the best bet is Radio Cab. Have seen ads for a $26 dollar ride from the airport to downtown, so a ride to Emanuel should be less. A cab costs more than MAX, but it gets you there quickly without the hassle of walking from the MAX stop, etc. Depending on the time of oyour appointment this might be a good option.
