Will be visiting Portland Sunday and am hoping for suggestions that might meet my criteria.
Thanks for the help,
Peg

If you like burgers, check out Burgerville, they have really good milkshakes here, also. Have fun in Portland! :)
Thanks for the suggestions. Keep the coming. I love having choice:)

Well, its not exactly in Portland, but Nonna Emilias Italian restaurant would certainly meet your needs. It is very authentic Italian and on the weekends they usually have a ';wandering accordianist'; who will play requests. We have never been disappointed with our meal there and can feed 5 adults with bar tab for around $75. the address is 17217 SW Shaw in Aloha. They are located at the corner of 172nd and TV HWY ( aka HWY 8).
Are the food carts open on Sunday? http://foodcartsportland.com/
Also... Beaterville Cafe up on Killingsworth is very good for breakfast. They also serve lunch, not sure about dinner.

everything was going good in your post until you wrote ';very authentic italian'; - i presume you mean very authentic for beaverton---------its basic ';italian'; as we would presume it to be but its not really authentic----sorry if i ruffled a feather or two
Well, Lougee, perhaps i should have said that its a varied Italian menu with lots of reasonably priced choices and let them decide about the authenticity- would that be more accurate??

that would hit the nail right on the head
many ethnic foods served in restaurants have been tweaked to fit our tastes and what we perceive as '; real';
