Restaurants near the westin hotel

restaurants

Hi and welcome! We love the Portland City Grill, they have gorgeous views here and very good food, if you like Sushi this is a good place to have it. The restaurant at the Heathman Hotel is very good, we also like Higgins in downtown Portland. Have a wonderful trip! :)

restaurants

The Westin has a great restaurant on the ground floor called the Daily Grill. We lived in Portland but enjoyed lunch there..

Let me see, in different directions but not far at all, Typhoon on Broadway at the Lucia Hotel, Red Star Tavern in the Monaco, Mothers, Mama Mia on Stark and 2nd, Southpark on Park back behind the Heathman, which has a good bar for drinks and sandwiches/fries etc.

Hop on a streetcar or walk into the Pearl, just a matter of blocks and wherever you look are good spots to eat.

I will post my Eats lists here for you... do go to the Pearl Bakery.

Skip the Portland City Grill, unless you want to do the singles bar scene .. if you want sushi, Henrys sushi is great, Henrys Tavern.. great bar, great restaurant, very casual and comfy.

Also there actually Japanese restaurants where you can get sushi.. Whole Foods has a lot of good food /lunches to go ..

Everett Street Bistro, Vault Martini Bar ( great happy hour food and blood orange margarita.. you will thank me)

Silk for pho , Paragon for amazing calamari ...

here are the lists :)

Lots of %26#39;em: Clyde Common, Kenny %26amp; Zuke%26#39;s, Jake%26#39;s, El Gaucho, Pazzo, Typhoon... Portland City Grill if you%26#39;re looking to do a power lunch. What kind of restaurants are you looking for?

And how near is ';near';? It%26#39;s a short walk from the Westin into the Pearl District, where you%26#39;ll have more choices than you can deal with. And ';near'; becomes relative when you realize you can hop on the streetcar two blocks from the Westin.

Sorry if I%26#39;m repeating some already recommended. I got detoured in the middle of posting this...

%26lt;%26lt; I got detoured in the middle of posting this...%26gt;%26gt;

LOL, happens to me all the time... I sometimes forget what I was talking about .. I am sure it shows too :D

I agree with Clyde Common (although, note, it is communal seating, so if you want a private lunch or dinner, this is not the place. The food is outstanding, especially the pastrami on the Reuben.

Higgins is fantastic.

Pazzo is disappointing. It keeps getting recommended here and the food is ';hotel banquet'; nothing more, nothing less.

Portland City Grill is great for a pre-dinner drink view, but I would go elsewhere for dinner.

In the Pearl, I would vote for Oba, Andina, Park Kitchen and Fenoiul (I have probably mispelled thay, I usually do).

Frankly, I would avoid hotel restaurants if you are looking for something fun and local.

Ah, if El Gaucho is in the running, you might want to take a look at Urban Farmer. Great food, dollar-wise, close to El Gaucho pricing, although not quite as high.

The OP is a cryptic, ';Restaurants near the westin hotel';. If aloha2121 is asking for recommendations, I%26#39;ve got a completely different list. ;-) But, you have me wondering, PDXWineauxs.... Is the pastrami reuben at Clyde Common really better than the one at Kenny %26amp; Zuke%26#39;s next door?

Speaking of hotel restaurants... isn%26#39;t El Gaucho in the Benson ?

Typhoon on Broadway is located in the Lucia, the Red Star Tavern is located in the Monaco, the Heathman Bar is a good lunch/happy hour/after show place for drinks and bites, Kenny %26amp; Zukes/Clyde Common is in the Clyde Hotel, isn%26#39;t it?

The Westin has the Daily Grill, Dragonfish at the Paramount.. need I go on?

In Portland, restaurants in hotels are not the same as say a Holiday Inn cafe ... I think even Urban Farm is located in a hotel.

Better to listen to advice of those who have eaten in restaurants and look at reviews etc, than go by what building the restaurants are located in...

Honestly, I cannot tell you as I refuse to patronize Kenny %26amp; Zukes.

I can tell you that the Pastrami at Clyde Common is the best I have ever had.
