Suggestions for quality stay

I%26#39;m finalizing my family trip of 2 weeks in the WA / OR coast - MT Hood / Mt Rainier loop. On our way from the coast to Mt. Rainier I%26#39;d like to spend two nights in the Mt. Hood area, preferably in a cabin or condo. We have 2 teenagers (boy and girl), so separate sleeping quarters are desired. Can someone please give me some suggestions for a relatively quiet, quality area and specific cabins / condo rentals? It doesn%26#39;t have to be Government Camp; it can be anywhere in the Mt Hood area that%26#39;s nice.

I%26#39;ve already gotten tons of great advice and plans are falling into place nicely. This is the final piece of the puzzle. Thanks in advance for all your help, past and future.

Give this website a try and see what you can find. Not sure what price range you are looking at.

The Hood River and The Dalles listings are in the Gorge area.

Have a look at Resort on the Mountain in Welches: http://www.theresort.com/index.php . It%26#39;s 10-15 miles down the mountain from Government Camp, but I believe has condos that would work for you.

Here%26#39;s another place to consider, topfan: http://www.cooperspur.com/index.shtml .

I have not stayed at any of these, but here is a link for lots of options in the area. www.mthood.info/lodging/mt-hood-lodging.html

One of the places listed is Collins Lake Resort. It is right in Government Camp, and new, so it might be nice for your kids to wander the small town. Not a lot, but various ski and snowboard shops which kids tend to like anyway, as well as restaurants.

If you end up deciding on a hotel by chance, we have stayed at the Mt. Hood Inn which was fine. Not fancy, but clean and well kept. About equivalent to a Holiday Inn Express. Great location, next to the brewery/restaurant as well.
