airport to Marriott Downtown

anyone know if using the subway from the airport to the hotel is reasonable? Hotel says $35 one way, subway $2.55, we dont mind walking a little. thanks

There are two Marriott%26#39;s in downtown Portland, and both are within walking distance of the nearest light-rail stop. City Center Marriott is just a couple short blocks, and Downtown Waterfront is about 8. The light-rail system (not a subway) is called MAX.
