Does anyone have any white water rafting info for Barton Park? They really don%26#39;t have a website, and although I emailed them requesting info, I%26#39;ve yet to receive a response. We are staying downtown Portland, so from what I%26#39;ve read, and had responses from, this seems to be the closest place for a 1/2 day trip. Any other suggestions are greatly welcomed. Thanks!
Barton Park
I know a little bit about it. What do you need to know? The half day trip you%26#39;ll start there begins with a real bang and then mellows out significantly.
Barton Park
Basically I would like to know if the raft/kayak is included in the price, THE PRICE,is the river AT the park, life jackets, helmets provided...stuff like that. Do you think we would be able to reserve a trip if we just wait until we get to Portland and look for a brochure at the hotel? I mapquested the park from our hotel, and it%26#39;s about 1/2 an hour away ( not too bad ) When I googled Barton Park, Clackamas River came up also: is this the river that runs through the park? I hate to sound dumb, but I%26#39;m so...confused!
To be completely honest, I had no idea you could rent kayaks at the park--if that%26#39;s what you mean. I%26#39;ve always brought my own with friends and two cars (dropping one off at Barton and the other at Carver Park).
