Two-room suite hotel near PDX

Hi! thanks to anyone who can help me . . .I am looking for an affordable hotel near PDX (for a semi-early morning flight) that has ';suites'; of at least 1.5 rooms. Basically, we want a separate quiet area for our 8 month old and/or our 2.5 year old. For our 2 other hotels on this trip, I%26#39;ve found 2-room suites but I can%26#39;t seem to find one in at an airport hotel. Any suggestions?

They also have two bedroom suites.

There%26#39;s also an Embassy Suites at PDX.

My response is Embassy Suites PDX

I do wonder what the OP means by ';affordable';? Maybe they will return here . . .

My suggestion was for Staybridge Suites, but the name didn%26#39;t come through on the link ;-)

Good point, half-Brit. Affordable to one, is spendy to another or cheap to yet another.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I knew about the Holiday Inn Express option but Mr. Koomalit has issues with that b/c of an experience of what we can only assume to be food poisoning at one in PDX about 5 years ago (and an overcharge at one in London about 3 years ago!).

I think we%26#39;re going with the embassy suites option--$109 or so for a 2-room suite (with breakfast!) is very very affordable, in my eyes. Actually, each hotel on our trip (Park Lane Suites in PDX and the Inn at Spanish Head in Lincoln CIty) is quite affordable. I am pleasantly surprised.

Thanks for the help!

Koomalit, where did you find that kind of rate for the Embassy Suites PDX? I looked them up and picked a random date on a weekday in May and it shows a *minimum* of $169!

And that is non-refundable, from there it jumps to $189!

Thanks ........

I wonder if there may be some type of discount due to the economy? Not sure, but $109 at Embassy Suites PDX does seem low.

You know, if you can snag an Entertainment Book, you might be able to get a great rate. I haven%26#39;t bought one of those books in years, but the last time I did, I saved a mint! Spent 10 nights in a two bedroom, ocean front condo in Kona, Hawaii for $700! Should have been $1400. Of course that was a few years ago, so the price would be higher now, point is, I got a great condo at half the price and spent $40 to buy the book to get that discount.

Well, looking at the Embassy Suites parking lot the other day, they were close to full. So, hopefully koomalit will return to tell me about that $109 rate?

I know the media keeps telling us about the poor economy, but lots of people are traveling and staying in hotels. The central coast was business as usual during spring break - every hotel busy, every restaurant busy, traffic everywhere. Our four recent plane flights back east were absolutely jammed full.

We stopped into Spirit Mountain casino on Monday at about 3:45 pm, thinking we%26#39;d eat at the buffet. At that time of day, there were at least *70* people in line waiting for them to open at 4:00! And the casino itself was just hoppin%26#39; with gamblers. (No, we didn%26#39;t wait, it would have been 30 minutes at least before we were seated.)
