I am going to be in Portland in middle July for a HUD conference. The Hilton is the site of the conference - but is already booked. What are some good hotels in close walking distance to the Hilton?

The Monaco is on 5th

The Lucia is on SW Broadway

Next to the Lucia on the corner is the Hotel Vintage Plaza

The Westin is around the corner practically and then there is the Benson, Governor and farther up are the Heathman and Paramount ..

A little more ';funky'; would be the Ace on 10th ..

The Embassy Suites and the Marriott ..

Great suggestions so far, although some are not a close walk to the Hilton.

AbbyNormal... snicker.... Keep in mind that you can get anywhere in downtown Portland easily on the Streetcar .. it runs a big loop through town..

We have enjoyed nice stays at the Benson and The Heathman in downtown Portland. :)
