Crater Lake Trip Report

First off let me thank Half-Brit and others who replied to my information requests on Crater Lake. My wife and I drove up on May 12 from Medford. It took approximately 2 hours to make the 80 mile trip up to Rim Village. It was snowing and 28F from the visitor%26#39;s center to Rim Village; however, there was very little ice on the roadway. The snow was approximately 7 feet deep ar Rim Village and we had to climb to the top of a packed snow ';hill'; to fully see the lake. It was an awesome view; however, I have a feeling it would have been much much better on a clear sunny day. Still it was well worth the drive and chilly weather (was 105F the day before when we flew out of Phoenix).
